Another milestone on the way to being accomplished, with the exterior almost completed before we took a well-deserved holiday break. While the rest of the framing and roof work was happening, we were also building the very sturdy east deck! First the support framing… then the joists… and the flooring, which was painted with GACO… and then framing the porch and rafters! We will install the Suntuf roof later… after all the siding, window trim

The rains cleared and Christian and Talen installed the metal roof, with ground support from Blake, on Oct 27 and 28th! Another milestone!

While work was happening on the roof and the east deck, great progress was made on the framing and the strapping. Framing the stairs, the windows, and all the interior walls…. Framing the loft… Installing the strapping that is making this house very sturdy, indeed! And making one future resident of this home very happy!

On October 1st, the trusses, the trusses were delivered. Then, starting on October 6, we had a big week culminating in the roof being finished!
