A new home for Sierra and Arthur! Let’s celebrate! We did, on Aug. 27th, with a great gathering of volunteers, community and business supporters, and friends. We shared our appreciations for all those who helped build this home below-market, delighted in our accomplishment, and enjoyed delicious BBQ, summer salads, and cookies! Thank you all!

The forms were removed and several layers of waterproofing tar applied. Miradrain, an additional waterproofing drainboard, was nailed onto the foundation walls. The perf pipe was installed, covered with drain rock, filter fabric laid down, and the foundation backfilled. The slab was also filled. Prep work was done for the posts and the slab plumbing.…

With all the front exterior painting done, we could finally install the porch roof! Then we finished all the window and door trim. A big thank you to Peter, Scott, Bob E., Joe and Dave! Just a very few minor details are left that can be finished after closing!

We did it! On July 15, we were granted the occupancy permit for the home-raising at lot 10! Together we have built a below-market, income-qualified, permanently affordable home!
