With all the windows installed, it was time to put up the siding! We decided on 12″ Hardie boards with battens.
This week’s wonderful home-raising crew of Bob Dalton, Richard Epstein, Peter Oakley, George Julius, Scott Connor, Dave Wingen, Joe Schwab, and Melissa Farage finished the siding on the south and west sides, and most of the east side. Appreciation to Gabbi Korrow, Karol White and Christine Epstein who provided the hearty lunches and delicious treats and scones!
The doors were also installed! Appreciations to Building Source who donated a door jamb and discounted the french door on the front, Richard for procuring a donated door for the north entrance from the side porch, and to Bob and Richard for installing them!
Putting up the siding on the front is next.
Battens for the siding, and a front deck will also be coming soon!
